Join in the Celebration at the FINISH LINE!
Join us at 6:00 PM at Marine Park in Fairhaven to cheer your favorite racers, and experience the excitement as kayakers run up the beach to ring the finish line bell at the Ski to Sea 2008!!!
Our Title Sponsor, Peoples Bank and other race sponsors will have display booths. Wander through vendor booths featuring food, drink and information on other exciting events and more! Visit the Race Update Area to follow along with constantly-revised and posted leg results, team results, and photos of individual athletes-in-action. Want a T-shirt? Ski to Sea 2008 T-Shirts and official Race Posters will be for sale, as well as the Classic Poster Series created in 2007.
New Awards Celebration
Plan to attend the New Awards Celebration which is an event in itself! Beginning at 6:00 PM, the Celebration will be a “High-Energy, Multi-Media, Show Biz” experience that attendees will never forget! Music will fill Marine Park as winning teams and racers are called ON-STAGE to receive their awards!
The top three teams in each category will receive plaques and medals, and exclusive Top Gun awards will be presented to the fastest man and woman in each leg. Also, help celebrate our rich talent from right here in Whatcom County as the EXCITING NEW Whatcom County Cups are awarded to the winning open, women’s and mixed Whatcom County Teams.
All this AND spectators have a chance to get some race goodies of their own as prizes are thrown into the crowd!
